3D Wall Art

Looking for a room with a huge point of interest that will grab attention?

3D Wall Art has held my interest for quite some time. Many a night has been spent in front of my trusty laptop deciding whether or not I can purchase the Wall Art and install/set up without Husband noticing OR protesting.

Less commitment is required for 3D Wall art than what Wall Paper will demand of you but you do need to be prepared to let the wall do the talking.

That is, no other pictures, photos or too many ornaments can even think about entering your ‘Wall-arted’ room

Generally available in Square sizes of 300mm x 300mm up to 500mm x 500mm the ’tiles’ can be found made in Bamboo fibres and sometimes a lighter more acrylic finish.

Attach to your walls using a Latex glue and be prepared to have to scrape dried glue from your wall later down the track on removal.

If you find an all over Wall Art too overwhelming why not try something that requires a little less responsibility? 3D Wall Art comes in a range of different options. What ever your desire, what ever pattern you wish for, it is all yours and the artist that lives inside all of us.

Different shapes and different sizes as options choose 2 different colours for a striking effect, peel off the backing paper and unleash your creativity! -albeit in a super safe, can’t do no wrong environment.

Of course you can always go with the tried and tested Photo frame wall art. More on that later…

The shower screen

December 11, 2011 at 10:03 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , )

So we have our bathroom mostly done. THE bathroom of the year. The bathroom that everyone I know was subjected to hearing about. The bathroom that separated the men from the boys. The bathroom.
Except of course for the face of the bath (to be discussed at a later point) annnddd the all important shower screen. We don’t have a shower screen and it drives us both crazy.
Yes we shower but dam It makes an awful watery mess and we go through so many towels just mopping up!

I know the one I want; it’s all glass, it’s frameless and it’s a sexy shower screen. I even know where to buy it and how much it is.

Problem is, every time I have the spare $500 ready to go something else comes up. And did you ever notice how so many things cost $500? Car needs a service=$450, car needs rego=just under $500, fur child gets cancer=$1000 ($500×2). Washing machine dies=$600 for a new one.

Everything revolves around $500. Including my new shower screen. It’s been many many months and I think that shower screen is right around the corner. Im sure of it

Sunshine on Wintery days

July 14, 2011 at 8:21 pm (Bunnings, Crazy Clarks, Home hardware, Ikea, Interior, Mitre10, Paint, Yellow) (, , , , )

Ahhhh bright yellow. Canary yellow, sunshine yellow and just plain yellow. It brightens up a room without being overbearing and really is delightful. Colour in inescapable. It is all around us at all times. Go on, look away from the screen and look around yourself. Colour is everything. So slip some mellow-yellow in your room and give yourself something bright and cheery to come home to.

Ready for Summer? Brighten up your home with a summery hue!

Yellow is a stimulating colour however. So in other words, keep it to a minimum!

How much is too much? Do you paint your walls or administer a peek-a-boo approach?

Yellow is the most difficult colour for the eye to take in creating a very fine balance between just enough and too much.

Even Josh & Jenna got in on the Yellow act on The Block ( http://www.ninemsn.com/theblock ) .

Personally I think bright yellow is best kept to those items that are easily changable.

Want to add just a bit of this great colour to your home?
Lamps, Lampshades, Mirrors and artwork. Easy, non-committal ways of adding this pep up.
